The Nomad Skid Plate Body™ is a debris guard for your K9 built for the Nomad Harness System. Named after a skid plate on an off-road SUV that keeps the oil in your vehicle if you happen to go over something your vehicle could not clear. In the same manner the Nomad skid plate protects your K9s chest and stomach, keeping in their blood if there happens to be a pointed stick or barbed wire that your K9 goes over but doesn’t quite clear.

Made from durable cordura, ballistic nylon and pack cloth, it simply straps on to the outside of the chest piece of the Nomad and hooks to the back 2 g-hook loops on each side of the top of the harness. It’s perfect for urban operations, deep forest tracks and every sort of SAR (search and rescue) mission that you would need. This is an necessity for any K9 doing work over dangerous ground.
